We joined our friends Dave and Robin for a few days and nights in the wilderness. We camped in the Dixie National Forest in Utah next to Mammoth Creek. It was a beautiful campsite with rushing river water, beautiful Pine and Aspen trees, and many birds, including a very curious Blue Jay that frequented our camp. Our entire meal selection was planned to be plant-based.

On the second night, we treated ourselves to a "wilderness" plant-based burger. We used the Beyond Meat (www.beyondmeat.com) patties topped with sautéed mushrooms and onions, plant-based mayonnaise, BBQ sauce, and cheese. We used dairy cheese as Dave, Lori, and I like the taste of this with the plant-based burger. Robin enjoyed her burger without cheese.
We sat around the campfire and downed these delicious plant-based Sparitarian burgers. We rounded out the meal with steamed corn-on-the-cob that Dave steamed in a Dutch oven. And just to send our taste buds into overdrive, we added an amazing Apple Crisp dessert prepared by Lori, also in a Dutch oven.
The Beyond Meat burgers were prepared on a cast iron skillet sitting on top of about a dozen hot coals on top of a somewhat flat and level rock.
Needless to say, we slept well that night with our stomachs full and hearts grateful for another Sparitarian meal.

The wild bread by Lori is more than delicious and one craves it fir more once eaten! JP
